Prof. Alvin Yeo is currently working as an Associate Professor and Senior Consultant at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and National University Hospital Singapore (NUHS) respectively. He assumes the position of Director of the Postgraduate Residency Program in the Department of Periodontics at the National University of Singapore. In addition, he is currently a member of the Dental Specialist Accreditation Board (DSAB) in Periodontics assigned to conduct exit assessments and recommendations for new Periodontist specialist accreditation. He was awarded a Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of Groningen, Netherlands after successfully defending his PhD thesis in March 2010 entitled “Novel Polycaprolactone-Tricalcium Phosphate (PCL-TCP) Scaffolds Customized for Reconstruction of Dentoalveolar Deformities.” Prof Yeo’s major clinical and research interests include the evaluation of novel biomaterials and scaffolds for dentoalveolar ridge augmentation and dental implant related therapy. In addition, he has extensive clinical experience in the management of periodontal disease both surgically and non-surgically.
